This course is designed to provide the participants with the knowledge & skills to perform the duties of an ATC Watch Manager. Upon successful completion of the course the participants will meet the following objectives: Manage handover/takeover procedures, Apply procedures associated with the administration and management of routine, operational shift activities at an ATS unit, Apply procedures associated with the management of unusual/degraded/emergency operational shift activities at an ATS unit and Manage OJT.

  • • With a minimum of 5 years of ATC experience, of which 2 years have been at the ATCU in a rating where supervision will be conducted.
  • • With a high level of written and verbal English communication skills, preferably ICAO ELP Level 4 & above.
  • • With competency in the conduct of supervisory duties to the satisfaction of the Head of ATC.
    • • Hand Over & Take Over Procedures.
    • • Watch Log Maintenance.
    • • Staff Management
    • • Management of OJT.
